What is a Credit Union?

A credit union is not a bank, although it offers similar services. A credit union, unlike a bank, is owned by its members. If you become a member of the credit union, you have a vote in the election of its Board of Directors, which set credit union policies. Credit union members are not customers, they are member-owners!
